I only say that my DD 18 months for the needs of the palate and tonsils, the number of infections, poor weight gain, a constant runny nose, and cause sleep disturbances ... But I am appalled! Has anyone that had a child so young out there to do risks for the operation? Thank you very much!

Absolutely - weight gain and sleep disturbances (difficulties in breathing from swollen tonsils may indicate to the airways to prevent) are their biggest worries. My son had the palate and adenoids to 3 years and I wish we had the chance before.

I had problems growth of about 4-6 months and had several of antibiotics for infections more than I can count. He snored when he slept, which can be an indicator of sleep apnea, but was ignored by his pediatrician for a long time because they wanted to wait until the "beat" the problem.

My son had another child after the palate and adenoids. He began to play instead of a lot more drag during the day, because the energy of breathing and sleep well. Over the past 4 years, antibiotics only when needed. Compared with infections before continuing. He also began to speak clearly and was able to block without swollen tonsils eustacian hose heard.

The surgery itself is difficult to reconcile with the transactionOCO and can not explain what happens. Your throat hurts afterwards, but you have to eat (what gives you the first gelatin and other fresh and sweet) and it is safe to do so. But it will not, because at this age only refused the cooperation, if your sore throat. : (

Small children tend to require more hospital treatment than older children because they need intravenous fluids, if they refuse to eat, too. Bring your favorite toys and stay with him for comfort, but there should be additional risks. Good luck.

My son has down, and only 10 years until he was done for this a long process. You should see a sleep-study to see if there were riots. You radiographs vegetations. There is a history of infection over a longer period and the extension. I would recommend to another ENT for a second opinion only, but if in the end you have to do is that an operation very frequently and are fast. My son has recovered quickly. The only negative point that would be an operation that I could say, a child of 10 Old expect that after recovery, but it will be difficult for 18 months for surgery and understand what is happening. Good luck.

If there is no danger that he does not need to know about an editorial in his routine to make. My daughter is now five years and for years every month 1-infection has been lost and was very sick because of the back palate and tonsils, if I could go and said she would leave as if -1 i jump on the opportunity, because I had been forced on the manner in which he has now said that they tonsillitis at least 5 times a year, check later moved to the happiness and his daughter suffered so much better without their tonsils x

I had the operation when she was four years old, but today is much rarer. Doctors usually try to tubes in the ears first. Your baby is so young that I doubt a second opinion.

My son is 28 years old, and the doctor wanted to give this activity, as he was too little, but I have a second opinion. I'm glad I did. This does not mean that your doctor is wrong, but what hurts a different opinion? No doubt he feels better about the decision.

seek a second opinion. the mind does not come til i was 54th Idiot doc (specialist) said that people my age do not have tonsillitis ... When the report came after his departure, the extreme tonsillitis. and mistakes and doctors are hampered in their learning and knowledge. have a different opinion, but you will receive shortly. hugs for the baby. Good luck and hope uu get clear answers. Not rely on reference service in the hospital or doctors are paid to put their names on the list. does not mean that they are what they are doing good. only afford to do things. Good luck

Wow, that's young. I want to get a second opinion and third.
This is your son, your car will not. Therefore, you can not make mistakes.
Mommi Good luck.

In addition, mines have been removed at the age of 4, B / C sleep disorders and asthma. It does not work. But opinions are exactly what I was different!
I hope that helps.
